Watch this video to find out who won our giveaway!!!
Congratulations to Lara!
But wait...THERE IS MORE. I was completely overwhelmed by the 113 comments and the wonderful suggestions for people needing hope. We want to help ALL of those mentioned but we do realize that would be impossible at this point as Margaret's "chest" is only holding 6 quilts right now. So, we are picking 5 more names for the remaining quilts in our chest! So....those lucky winners are;
1)KatieQ
2)Brooke (Grandmother is nursing home)
3)A Little of a lot
4)Sandra (friend who needs baby items)
5)Heidi (mother with heart disease)
To those of you who didn't win, I am keeping this list of comments and I may be contacting you in the near future as we are able to make more quilts! Look for us next time around-we'll be sure to be offering more quilts. If you EVER think of someone who needs hope sometime in the future don't hesitate to contact us!

There are so many inspirational sewing blogs out there...too many to follow really, but Sew, Mama, Sew is one I try to keep up on (probably because the title appeals to me!). After catching up on a week or two of her blogs I feel inspired to keep on sewing, creating and experimenting in different areas. So, we at Margaret's Hope Chest are joining Sew, Mama, Sew in her May Giveaway ( http://sewmamasew.com/blog2/?p=805 )-but in true MHC fashion we are putting our own little twist in it. Interested??? Read on....
Our mission at Margaret's Hope Chest is to give quilts to individuals and families who are experiencing seemingly hopeless situations. Do you know anyone RIGHT NOW who could use a gift of HOPE? We would love to help you serve someone around you by giving them this quilt.
It is waiting to be "won" by someone who comments and tells us a little about who they would like us to give this quilt to. I will pick one commenter randomly. Please leave an e-mail contact so I can get an address to send the quilt to. We can ship anywhere in Canada or the U.S.
I am looking forward to giving this lovely quilt to someone who could really use it! Thanks for reading, if you are interested in more about Margaret's Hope Chest, check out our blog www.margaretshopechest.com

My Favorite Birthday Present
There is a lot of joking in our house about the Dish Fairy-ya know, she flies into your house while you are sleeping and magically does all of your dishes. Well, as you can imagine, with 4 kids under 8 and more quilting projects than I have time for, dishes are forever piled up in my sink and awaiting thier turn in the dishwasher. For my birthday I asked my mom to make me an apron and look what she made me! Just about the cutest apron I have ever seen and it makes me smile every time I wear it-don't you love it?

We are Still Here
We took a wee break from quilting here at Margaret's Hope Chest for some much needed Spring Cleaning. May is also a busy month with birthday parties, baby baptism's and of course, some gardening! But we are back on track and ready to finish some more quilts.
One special quilt was delivered a few weeks ago. It went to a family in New Jersey that my aunt knows. Their daughter tragically lost her life playing a dangerous game. Her family was devastated. My aunt made them a special quilt and gave it to them on behalf of MHC. I marvel as we continue to make an impact on people's lives around the country.
Well, I hope to be back soon with some more interesting quilts to share!
