Quilting Progress

Keeping busy this week-trying to stay on schedule with several quilts that are due to be completed this month.  First is this quilt top for Meyon made with blocks collected in our Quilting Bee.  I put the blocks on point which always gives me great pleasure even though it takes a little longer to put together.  There are 4 blocks that I am putting on the backing of this quilt.  After that I will start finishing it off.  Can't wait to see it complete!

I am currently quilting this top which I created this week and last from a charm pack, part of a layer cake and scraps.  I was going to make Amanda Jean's 36 patch blocks but I didn't read the directions and ended up with 32 patch blocks :) and in my world when that happens I just say 'whatever' and move on!

I finished off two more quilt tops collected earlier this year.  This first one is reversible--cute cowboy themed fabric.  Someone donated two tops of the same size and fabric and I decided to put them together into one.

I love this top--so bright and scrappy! I added a red back and backing and did some simple straight line quilting because it didn't need much more than that frankly.

  1. Meyon's quilt turned out fantastic! I don't recognize any of my fabrics, so I guess my blocks didn't make it in time. Sorry!

  3. Your 32-patch blocks were a happy "accident"...actually, I like it alot and may use that pattern too (if you don't mind). Would use up a lot of scraps I have.

  7. All of these are great.

I especially like your 32-patch accident. A neat look!

And that last one is pretty cool, too. I like the idea of a "strip" kind of quilt, but with quilt blocks in each strip.
