They Came. They Sewed. They Created HOPE
Our quilt-a-thon has come and gone. Yesterday was a great time cutting, sewing, pinning and celebrating. Winter sicknesses ate away some of our volunteers :( but the 9 people who came created 8 quilt tops. After a few minor glitches we moved pretty fast. I think everyone agreed that it was well worth 4 hours! The best thing is that almost every volunteer didn't even know how to quilt-and now they are interested in learning more and helping MHC. Currently, I have about 20 unfinished quilt tops. My goal for the rest of the month is to finish them all! As always, we are always looking for people who could use a special gift like this-so if you know someone, please contact me. One more great big thanks to my mom, Amy, Elaine, Jane, Diane, Rachel, Jen, and Michele. A picture will follow but I am on someone else's computer right now!

Quilt-a-thon UPDATE
The quilt-a-thon is only a few days away and we are still looking for 3 good people to help. If you are reading this and have 4 hours free on Saturday and live near Grand Rapids WE NEED YOU. I have had 3 complete strangers call and ask to join us on Saturday-that is so cool. Now I need 3 more!!! (616) 243-8223 is the number to get directions. I have cut all of the fabric and we are ready. 15 quilts in 4 hours. If you pray, pray that I will remain strong and sure in my belief that God will provide these volunteers.
