Wednesday Works in Progress and Siggy Block Remake Pattern

It's been a few weeks (maybe longer) since I have linked to Lee at Freshly Pieced.  It wasn't intentional--I still really like Lee and everything that she creates over there--I just never seemed to have my act together in time to link up!  This week though-I am ready!
WIP Wednesday at Freshly Pieced
Here is the project that is taking up the majority of my time right now: It's a quilt for a friend who I hope isn't reading this right now (donna--look away if you are!).
She has been my dearest friend here in Toronto and I can't leave without giving her something to snuggle under when she falls asleep every night on the couch :)
I have no idea what I am doing--I saw a Stack and Slash tutorial earlier this week on this blog that I wanted to try and so I am trying it.  We will see how this turns out.....

My second work in progress is this pinwheel quilt.  Each pinwheel block is 3 inches.  Now that it is pieced I would like to make it bigger with a border of 4 or 5 inch pinwheel blocks and then a second border with 5 or 6 inch pinwheel blocks--can you see what I am envisioning?? To take the next step in this project I will have to use some high level math skills---uh-oh.  On second thought maybe I can get my math minor husband to help.

Finally, I am posting a diagram of how I constructed the Siggy Block Remake quilt.
These measurements are how I cut the fabric--the sizes are smaller after sewing of course.

I love the idea you have for the pinwheel borders, but I would definitely need math hdlp for that one, too! Good Luck!

Your solid rainbow-y pinwheels are just incredible, Carin! That is going to be one gorgeous quilt. And I love the siggy block quilt too. Lots of nice WIPs this week, and I'm so glad you're back in the linky! : )
